It depends on the size, location, structure, and depth of the scar. Some scars are resolved in one treatment, but some others need several treatments, normally 4 to 6 weeks apart.

It will all depend on your own body’s healing process. Sometimes we can work on a scar 4 to 6 months after your surgery. However, sometimes the patient needs to wait up to 1 year to have a scar revision procedure.

We can use your insurance for this procedure, if the patient has undergone a surgery that was originally covered by your insurance and claimed as a medical necessity. If your procedure was cosmetic, then the procedure most likely cannot be claimed through your insurance.
